What Is “Hyperdilute” Radiesse?
Radiesse is a filler that contains CaHa (calcium hydroxyapatite) in a gel. Radiesse can be used to fill deeper lines and restore volume in the cheeks and chin. It has also been shown to stimulate collagen.
Hyperdiluted Radiesse is a technique where Radiesse is thinned out using saline and the numbing medication lidocaine. Wherever this thinned out product is injected it stimulates collagen and elastin resulting in firmer skin.
One of the best areas to use hyperdilute Radiesse is in the neck. The neck contains more elastin than the face and it is a delicate area that is more susceptible to scarring from overaggressive procedures. Hyperdilute Radiesse can be injected quite safely using a cannula resulting in an improvement in crepey skin and tightening the skin. We have seen good results combining hyperdiulte Radiesse with our Exilis radiofrequency device.
Areas that can be treated with Hyperdilute Radiesse include:
- Neck
- Face
- Decollete
- Abdomen
- Hands
- Knees
What Can Hyperdilute Radiesse Help With?
Improvement of the appearance of crepey skin. Tightening and firming of the skin. It has been shown that injections with hyperdilute Radiesse help increase the production of the best collagen, Type I collagen and also elastin.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Typically, two to three initial treatment sessions are needed to achieve the aesthetic effects desired. These are spaced one month apart. From there, it’s only maintenance, with one hyperdilute Radiesse treatment every 12-18 months.
